This week has gone by pretty quickly for me. Nothing out of the ordinary, but i guess i'm pretty much settled in here. I'm more or less used to the lifestyle here now, getting up and sleeping time, food, hw, school stress, cg. Only one thing is really missing, and thats a permanant church. I'll be visiting another church this sunday, which is quite close to my boarding house. It's a tiny church.. its like a neighbourhood church. Probably about 100 ppl.. judging from the size of the building. It'll be cool.. its the first time in my life i'm actually walking into a church i've never been to alone, knowing no one. The past few weeks i've been visiting churches with my cool roomie Simon, but he's found his church..
School's been pretty okay. The end of the term is approaching, so report cards are coming out(yipes!). Kinda nervous about my english and social studies. The english here is lit! Not english. We read obscene books and watch obscene shows during english... no kidding. Lots of sexual content! Today, we watched this movie in class called 1984. If i was watching this show with my parents, they would cover my eyes! Somehow no one seems to be bothered about it though, except for me. Must be another one of those culture differences. Haha.. spooky man.
Went to Cg yesterday with Ivan and James. We managed to persuade James to come.. haha it was kinda awkward for him coz it was his first time. And to make matters a little worse for him, he was the only non asian person there! And, he is vegetarian, so he couldnt eat any dishes during dinner except for the soup. Haha. We had Holy Communion session after the cg.. the first time i had it since december. It was powerful... We were so hyped up after the msg, we started preaching to a plumber who happened to be repairing the water heater in the house! Cg was just awesome.
The Christian fellowship meeting was cancelled AGAIN. This time coz all the people in it went away for a competition in north vancouver. Each time the meeting gets cancelled, it seems as if it is just a coincidence, but i know it isnt. I know its an evil minion at work, trying to stop the meeting for happening.. but i know his weapons won't prosper! I'm standing on his promises, and praying that God will make a way.
